Los Angeles based fashion brand "American Apparel" is being lauded by LGBT members and supporters for holding open casting calls for a "transexy" (***********) models. The brand is more known for their provocative, and often controversial, advertising. Are they now going to be known for their *********** supermodels?

calls transexy transgender models brand provocative controversial advertising transgender supermodelsnbsp

According to the ad, models don't need to have previous experience. They just need to be over age 16 and wear “simple, fitted clothing.”

The New York Daily News reports: "American Apparel, which has used *********** models in ads before, is famous for its strong stance on *** rights, carrying *** culture magazines in its stores and piloting the “Legalize ***” movement in support of same-*** marriage in California. The brand also launched “Legalize LA” in 2008, an ad campaign to promote amnesty for undocumented immigrants.

They are obviously an outspoken fashion company, but do they reflect what Americans can handle? Is America ready for a mainstream *********** supermodel, or will this bring about harsh controversy?

Doesn't want attention you say? This is not the exception, this is the norm!!!! Your psych class is BS!!!! Good luck with never landing any real jobs with your worthless majors!!!

You are an absolute imbecile. Biology + criminal justice + minor in psychology equates to a criminal justice career in forensic science. Not exactly worthless when the job market calls for statistical growth in the field. I'll be amazed if you can even define forensic science.

You and your lacking work ethic, and your worthless degree will never get you anywhere, so stay behind the computer pretending you are someone who knows something, and whinning the world is not fair, I will keep making the real money in the world.

My 4.0 GPA renders your comment discredited. You will always be inferior in knowledge regarding this issue. Get over it.

Are you back, what did mommy and daddy ground you from the computer for a week? Really, your few little psych classes and the ******** things you read on the internet cannot compete with my MBA and actually having to deal with these people. You know nothing about the real world, I would love it if you had to get a real job and real life, but, with your majors, it will never happen.

It's called having a life outside of ********. Or the life of a double major? You have a degree in BUSINESS, not psychology. Psychology courses are pertinent to the topic at hand. Business courses, NO. You also exhibit very little knowledge of the current job market. Is there anything you DO know (pretending doesn't count)?

And there she is, the do nothing, know nothing ***** who thinks she is smarter than everyone else. She has no talent, no accomplishments, no friends and no life. Good luck being the loser you are. I wish you luck in the real world cause an idiot like you is gonna need it, especially after you graduate to no job and have to live with mommy and daddy!BWHAHAHAHAH!! The thought of what a loser you are just cracks me up!!!

You’re the only dancer here, you don't like real common sense opinions because you think like a *****. I have refuted everything you have said; you just don't like my answers and my real life experience with these real life situations. You present no evidence whatsoever and act like it is the truth. You are inexperienced and narrow minded and need to grow up!

You are beyond boring. When your ***** drop (if you even have any to speak of), come back and join a debate like an ***** rather than act like a complete ******.

Look, my favorite loser is back, what did mommy and daddy ground you from the computer again? That is the second time! You must be a bad little girl to get punished sooo often!!! You know what, maybe, if you had a job and lived in the real world, you would stay out of trouble more often!HAHAHAHAHA What a dipstick you are!!!!!

There is no way you managed to graduate college (unless the standards back then were extremely low); my fecal matter has a higher IQ. Like I said, grow up, cease acting like a vag, and quit acting like a ***** because you encounter someone with superior intellect. Good riddance.

There she is again, the know nothing, do nothing little girl, who has this foolish notion that she is smarter than everyone one else just because she took a few psych classes and has a few *** friends. Oh the extremely ignorant converstations you under acheivers must have together. Get back to me when you have earned a Masters and live in the real world sweetheart!

You have more cred with Twinkies and Ding Dongs. I have had more employees under me than you can imagine and I have had to fire several, and fight lawsuits. It is about attention, and you just don't like the obvious truth, that is typical of ******** like you!

Raw, I did clarify it, if you’re not smart enough to understand it, then to bad for you. You need some growing up, and a real vocabulary, you know, one that does not involve swearing. And for your Info, I have an MBA and 40+ year’s life experience. I doubt you have anything close, as a matter of fact, I am pretty sure, from your picture and vocabulary, that you are a 20 something little girl still living with mommy and daddy. Get a real life, and a clue.

I don't think it matters if America is ready or not. It needs to happen.

It doesn't matter what the model was, what matters is what they currently are, and does he or she look like the common denominator or a topic of interest to the public they want to appeal to.

Yes!!! I have!!! He was an attention *****!!!!! So much so that there is an article with him in it from GQ. And yes, it is 100% done to please yourself, the entire premise is the individual is not happy with the gender they were born with! So you're
wrong, on all counts! It is all about attention, and it is all about pleasing yourself, why else would someone go through such a painful and drug infested process!

Another case of false choices. Can't people see what should be clear as rubbing alcohol? Society raises females with a choice of all possible styles, but males it raises with a fixed, changeless uniform---pants always ("twin tube leg garments") and always plain, undecorated clothes. Both ***** should be raised with all styles, because that's "human." Stop defining an entire range of apparel as intrinsically female. You people know next to nothing about history. The Romans drove men in pants into exile in AD 393. Pants are named after an Italian clown. Joan of Arc was burned alive in 1431 AD for being a woman and wearing pants. King Louis XIV of France invented high heels. Noblemen in several European countries, 1640 to 1690, wore "petticoat breeches." Women in pants were called "patients" with "permanent mental hallucination" (NY Times, 5/27/1876, p 6). Women were not free to wear pants till factory work in World War 2 sent 18 million USA women into pants. Social forces---not gender---cause clothing behavior. Horseback riding is what put men into pants---any of you get about on a horse today? The modern Greek army has a unit of men in skirts. Beefeater guards at the Tower of London wear shoes frillier than almost any worn anywhere by women. Female ballet tutus...

Trans-women are real women. Just born a little different.
Do your own research before spewing rude things like "...why they don't just use real women".
