Can Pizza Toppings Identify Personality Types?

I always knew there was something special about pizza. Not only is it good to eat, but the toppings you choose say something about your personality.

British pizza chain Pizza Express surveyed 500 ****** between the ages of 18 and 65, by having them fill out standardized psychiatric and personality tests. Along with the tests, they had participants provide them with their favorite pizza toppings and even collected spouses data to determine romantic compatibility.

Dr. Alan Hirsch of The Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago told Good Morning America (gma.com), “With food, whether it’s ice cream or pizza or something else, the thing that demands you to choose one over the other is not the nutrient value -- cause they’re pretty much all the same. You chose one because you like it more. That means you prefer the taste, and why? Because it’s your inner personality being represented based on your expression of it.” This is GENIUS!

Now to the good stuff. According to the survey, if you order Veggie Pizza -- you are flirtatious, charming, a little gullible and self-absorbed. For those of you who like Seafood Pizza -- you are principled, intelligent and critical. If Meat Lovers Pizza is more your style, then you are a homebody, a follower and supportive. If you order White Pizza -- you are good with money, cautious and a little cynical. Extroverts who get bored easily, love their Pepperoni Pizza.

Hun I could have told you that without the pizza coming into play, I wouldn't have necessarily known the good with money but would have easily said the other two [and might have guessed good with money as well] but then I'd have thrown in some of the seafood pizza part of intelligent and principled, but that would have come from your replies on here. :-) My problem with it is that I happen to like different types of pizza from different places, so I do a veggie from some chains, 1 chain the pizza has meat, and I also happen to like the white pizza from others... under his premise apparently I am quite complex... or it could simply be that I discovered long ago that on pizzas with red sauce the grease from the meat gives me heartburn that could outdue the acid in a car battery whereas white sauce typically has no such effect on me.

I like different pizza's as well, but like you, the red sauce combined with meat messes my stomach up big time. My pizza choice, like yours, depends on where I am ordering. But I usually lean toward the white pizza.
You are indeed complex...and that's a good thing. You're kind, patient, and well spoken. I love those qualities, as I am more of the, raised eyebrow and grunt kind of person when I disagree with people on **. (Guess that is some of the cynic coming out). I love how you explain your position without offending or becoming angry. I can learn much from someone like you, and do more than you realize.

I think it differs here. I don't care for a meat lover's pizza and I am a homebody and more of a follower so this idea of a person's personality and toppings is not down to a science.

I like maybe 2 meat toppings at the most with only 1 or 2 choice veggies on it. I think with all people it comes down to on a certain day what toppings sound good at the time.

Out of the choices given I'd pick seafood. Usually a sausage,mushroom and sometimes peppers is my fave. Honestly think liking the same toppings would be most compatible...I like sharing.

It might say something about you, but probably not much. Maybe someone that really loves meat chooses vegetarian pizza because it is slightly healthier or because they don't want to be killing innocent animals. Plain pizza could possibly show that you are trying to save money. Whether this shows stinginess or self control is a different matter. Peperoni pizza is often a popular choice, and so choosing peperoni might show a person who tries to fit in. You can make so many guesses about the same choice that all of them are basically worthless.
