Everything needs to come together to form a whole pizza. With even one problem in the dough, cheese, sauce or toppings, a pizza can be completely ruined.

That is a pizza from Modern Apizza in New Haven, Ct.It's not really burnt.That is the way they cook em in the brick oven.Don't knock it till you've tried one.Modern's makes one of the tastiest pies in the world.I've been to 100's across the country and they are tops!

The water used for the yeast. That is what gives New York Pizzas that special taste but we don't all live in NYC, thank ***. Other than that.

The quality and freshness of the sauce and the mozzarella and the ratio of sauce and cheese. Gotta have the olive oil in the dough so you can taste it with the sauce and cooked right. The bottom of the pie and the crust has to burn just right. Sicilian or thin a good cheese pizza doesn't need anything else on it to **** it up.

The toppings (even cheese) has to be fresh. Not too saucey, and not over spiced. The dough should be nice and firm, but not too firm or chewy.
