I wasn't going to post on this again until the total had crested a million dollars, but I couldn't contain my exuberance. To paraphrase Yoda, "no self control have I." :-)

NOTICE to the *** Gestapo (**** tyrannis): Americans are sick of your bullying, your hatred and your hypocritical intolerance. They've made their disgust known by taking a working class family to the brink of millionaire status. If this is going to be the result of your tag-teaming, goon squad tactics, you might want to rethink your your strategy. I only make that suggestion because it's, well, the Christian thing to do.

Religious liberty is under ******* in Indiana and that's never been clearer than with the O'Connor family.

When asked by local press the hypothetical question of whether or not they'd prefer to have their family owned business, Memories Pizza, cater a *** wedding, the owner said no citing their own religious beliefs as the reason.

Rather than allowing this family to simply have their opinion, which they were asked to give, outraged people grabbed the torches and began a campaign to destroy this small business in small town Indiana.

All for having an opinion that is rooted in faith.

No one was turned away. No one was discriminated against. It was a hypothetical question asked by a news reporter who had questionable motives to begin with.

After being interviewed by Dana Loesch on her television show on Blaze TV, we learned that the family may never even reopen the doors to their restaurant as the death threats and vicious online reviews continue to pour in from the arbiters of "tolerance."

My name is Lawrence Jones, and I'm one of the television opinion contributors on Dana's show.

Before the televised interview, producers Rachel, Allison and George discussed the situation with Dana, myself and head writer Ben Howe. We all agreed: this family needs help to get through this *******.

So we set up a GoFundMe page with the modest goal of $25,000. The intent was to help the family stave off the burdensome cost of having the media parked out front, activists tearing them down, and no customers coming in.

Our goal was simply to help take one thing off this family's plate as the strangers sought to destroy them.

But other strangers came to the rescue and the total just keeps going up.

Thank you for helping us do some good for this family who were scared and in hiding just 24 hours before this writing.

All money, save whatever percentage GoFundMe takes, will be transferred directly to whichever bank account the O'Connors wish to use.

Show producers are in direct contact with the family to ensure that they never feel like they are being left out of what is going on.

Thank you to everyone for your generosity.

How much do you give to the Poor?

Since you've used the Bible as a referent, perhaps you can cite where ***/Christ demands that we or our government proxies FORCE businesses to cater to mob/*** whim or, for that matter, to furnish the needs of the poor. What? It's not in there you say? No!!

Your logic is faulty. I don't blame you, though. I blame your teachers. :-)

Once you believe all people are not equal you are simply adding to the problem.

In reference to the bible discussing helping the poor, here you go

I didn't say anything about people being unequal, and I didn't ask where the Bible discusses helping the poor. I agree we're supposed to help the poor. Anybody who's heart is not stone agrees we should help the poor.

The QUESTION is where in the Bible does it say we should FORCE (or have the government FORCE) people to help the poor?

ANY answer OTHER than "it ain't in there" is incorrect?

The so called bible was written well before government was established first off. lets start here: Acts 20:35

In all things I have shown you that by working **** in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

the term we must help is coming from the lord himself.. And if you really live this way of life, the following words coming from the Lord says it is blessed to give than receive.

or how about Deuteronomy 15:11

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

Here he is commanding you. I know in the military when you are ordered (same as commanding you) then you follow the order (command) -

1) I'm guessing you haven't read the OT account of how kings/kingships (governments) were established. :-)

2) Acts 20:35 as cited here does NOT contain a command or edict to FORCE others to be charitable.

3) I do not contest the blessedness of charity. I contest your/others' ********* that the bible COMMANDS anyone to FORCE others to be charitable.

4/5) Notice the word YOU immediately following the word COMMAND. That means Jesus' FOLLOWERS are commanded to open wide their hands to their brother, to the needy and to the poor... The command by Christ to be charitable is issued to HIS FOLLOWERS. and is to be undertaken PERSONALLY--i.e., no proxies.

5) Correct--IF you're in the military. Even then the order applies to YOU.

My actions to humanity does not only include the poor. I never really think about the costs ********** by being a good human being for my own reasons. I am fortunate to have done well for myself and many times I like to provide to less needy. Nothing more nor do I expect nothing in return. I can tell you however, I do enjoy giving to causes, especially when dealing with ********/class rooms. Many times I have given but this one time I provided to a school class (in another area from where I live) a printer, computers and camera for the students to learn about them. About 3 weeks after it was all done, I did receive a packet of photos from the class, all with written thank you done in crayon by each student and how my gift made their learning possible. This is a reward that can not be compared to just the poor and why I do not classify people. We are all equal. Some with golden spoons in our mouth, some without or some that learn to purchase them later. but all equal.

Reverse this action, if the pizza guy just had a heart attack and was brought into the hospital, a male nurse whom is *** can provide live saving techniques to this man, he would refuse it correct or rather die... please, sounds all good until your shoes are in the same situation.

I personally don't have a problem with Memories Pizza stating their religious-based beliefs on *** marriage (though I disagree). They have the right to do that and shouldn't be destroyed for it. But do they deserve $727,723.00 for this? No, they don't. There are far more worthy causes this money could be going to...let's see if they behave as true Christians would and donate a portion of it to charity.

They did not start this fund nor did they even ASK for it... They also did not asked to be called Vile Names, Ask to have their shop burned down or even ask for someone to K!ll them, which the FLAMING LEFT has done.

Remember the Chick-fil-a thing? The *** agenda called for a nationwide boycott and were going to picket and march in front of the restaurants. And then the other 95% of the population caught wind of that and every chic-fil-a was packed from morning to night.. They made more money in that few months than they had in the years prior. All because the *** agenda declared war and good people stepped up to fight back.

Amen sista! I'm in the position and couldn't be happier that discrimination and bias has no place in our world. That would really make our jobs total misery.

Keep up the good work!

Yep. Another one. The whole brouhaha is starting to resemble one of those cheap westerns from back in the day. The white hats are Christian business owners, and the black hats are the *** gestapo. . .

. . .Or vise versa depending on your perspective. It's all bread and circuses either way.

I have a difficult time with donating money to a business that turns away customers.

We can play "what if" with that all day, but it is a problem for any establishment that is 'open to the public.'

The organizers of the gofundme campaign (The Blaze) had to shut it down. . .at 842 thousand dollars and change. If they'd left it open the total would easily have crested a million.

When will the *** Gestapo ever learn?

I think it is just great. These people now know that not the whole country is against them.

It is quite clear that many more people support ***'s Law over man's greed for each other's flesh! There is right and wrong, for which the first chapter of Romans has convicted all those who "exchange what is natural to what is unnatural."

It is historically apparent that "****** Sins" are the most prevalent and egregious of most other sins, with the destruction of Sodom, Gomorrah and Pompey, for all those cities were 100% ********** before their destruction!

Indeed, and I'm on his side. . .I think. :-)

Meaning I would PREFER that people of radically differing opinions/lifestyles find a way to live amongst each other in peace. I know, I'm just optimistic/gullible that way.

I don't thInk its at all gullible nor optimistic. As an openly *** man, I have no exception at all getting along extremely well in society at large. I'm generally kind to others and generally receive the same in kind. I don't stick my nose in others' personal affairs and strongly encourage others to keep theirs out of mine. It's not complicated. It is simply respecting and honoring personal boundaries. I don't judge others by my personal value system and don't tolerate that type of behavior of others. I don't disrespect others' values nor impose mine on anyone but myself...and my family of course. That's all that is required. It's a beautiful existence. Fairly effortless really.

Personally, if more ppl shared this type of attitude and social etiquette, it would be a much less complicated world for all of us to enjoy.

1) Excellent! Sounds like we could be friends in real life.

2) That was my point. IF more people did X, Y and Z, THEN we could live in peace and in full respect of differing points of view (and/or orientations). We wouldn't have to be discussing the rights and wrongs of forcing one person to ********* with another. There would be no gofundme campaign to help mitigate the losses of a dad/daughter pizzeria--losses incurred, of course, by way of outrage fomented among *** 'activists' via a media trap.

I honestly think it would be easy. But some, on both sides of the issue, just refuse to accept that not all of us are like-minded Or hold to the same value system, but that doesn't mean we can't accept each others' differences and embrace one another. Can you only imagine what a bore it would be if we were all of the same accord on every issue? It would be hum-drum with never a glimpse of glitter or spark. No thanks.

You're correct. We would likely be good friends in life. I read many of your posts and responses and indeed we share a great deal in common.

yeah right the burden is caused by themselves. Business owners all have 1 goal, green money to be earned (although now a days, our money has some different colors)... You need to shut up and provide the services you decided to provide when you opened the business. All people are equal. bible no difference

What gets me is how the GG (*** Gestapo) attempt to cite passages from a scriptural reference they don't understand to promote a behavior which is specifically verboten in that same text!

That takes chutzpa. Tanker loads of chutzpa!
