Beat the crowd. Look for special sales. I got a great leather coat for under $100.00.

hmm ..
I've got a route that we take once a month for the big stock up trip ..
get the morn chores done early .. everyone gets in the SUV and we start out.
The morning is for the furthest on the route ...
we avoid shopping at the times of lunch hours (and just relax at lunch ourselves)
and the after lunch to before release of day shifts is also a good time to shop
(never on fridays, no on days before holidays either .. and definitely NOT on paydays ..)

I can't get up that early. I'm already staying up until 2 right now, I'm going to hate myself when my babies wake me up around then. lol.

Depends on what time of night. There can still be low traffic there at 11 PM-midnight but there **** up being a long line at that one register opened. There is no one there early in the morning either, because most people do their shopping later and the shelves are well stocked. There are still stockers everywhere in the middle of the night, but at least they are better than customers blocking the aisles, because most stockers try to be aware of their surroundings.. Both are good for avoiding people though. I've noticed more registers opened at 7-8 AM and there is about the same amount of people there as 11 PM-midnight. I would rather do early mornings if it wasn't for the fact I hated getting up early. I am a night owl.

Middle of the night is the best. Back when I didn't have kids, my husband and I would often do our grocery shopping at like midnight-3 AM. There's like nobody there. haha

I thought this one conversation I had with a supervisor was funny. I found this debit card, so I gave it to her.

She said, "I wonder if this belongs to the lady who lost her purse." I told her, I didn't see a purse. She replied," but there are some sketchy individuals out there." I said, "Sketchy individuals at Wal Mart late at night. Who would've guessed?" She just said, "that doesn't happen. Be nice." She is a pretty laid back supervisor though. I have several different supervisors, however. She is one of the better ones though. I'm not that sarcastic at work. I am more of a smart *** outside of work. I know she wouldn't care if I am sarcastic though. There are two supervisors on the front *** that everyone really likes though. I can see why though. I enjoy most of the people I work with though.

Understand that well...shopping at any 24 hour store can be quite interesting in the wee hours...

I am 18, and I work an entry-level courtesy clerk position at one. I never work after 11 PM, but whenever I see weird people in mid afternoon, I just think this is going to be an interesting day. It is more common late at night. I don't have any reason to go to PeopleofWalMart.com. I could videotape for that site though.

For some of those, that's pretty much a 24 hour event...but I know what you mean...

If you want to people watch, go to Wal Mart at 2 AM. Not a lot of traffic throughout the store, but a lot of weird people.

Well, if you wish to avoid the crowds...but then you miss the opportunity to people watch...

It can be nice to avoid peak hours which no business has their peak hours early in the morning.

I don't think time of day really matters...

To avoid crowds and standing forever in the check out line....the earlier the better.

Go early, get out of the store fast.

It depends on where you go. I went to Wal-Mart about 3:00am and that place was actually rather busy.

We have a MI based company named Meijer that's all over MI, a few in OH and IN. They are like Walmart. It's closest, I worked there briefly, and that's where I shop.

Wal Mart and Winco are the only twenty-four hour supermarkets here that I can think of. I haven't been to Winco late though.

No....I don't shop at Walmart.

You obviously haven't been to Wal Mart at 11 PM. They should have two or three registers opened until midnight.

That's ok, at that time there usually isn't a line.

That isn't too bad until you get to that one register that is opened.

It gets crazy later in the day, so I try to shop early any time I shop.

I have trouble getting up that early too, but I will say, the advantages even outweighs the middle of the night shopping. I have trouble shopping at normal times enough. I would do my shopping early in the morning if I didn't work second shift and if I didn't like to sleep in as much as possible.
