Every once in a while there’s a story that touches your heart. Today as I was searching for some good stories to write about, I can across one about a father who built his son an Iron Man costume -- to help him feel brave.

Eric Hart’s son Collier, has been in the hospital since being born this past July. Collier is only 5 months old and was born with numerous medical complications. The Hart’s don’t know when they will be able to take their son home, but they are trying to do everything they can to make his life normal.

When Halloween approached, Dad decided to make his son a costume and settled on Iron Man. Eonline.com is reporting that Mr. Hart told TODAY.com, “I came up with Iron Man, because he’s been hooked up to all those machines and wires, and that’s similar to what Iron Man went through.” Dad found a pattern online and put together the tiny costume. You can check out the costume in the video link below.

Dressed in the tradition red and yellow costume, baby Collier looks more powerful than ever before. He might just even give Robert Downey Jr. a run for his money. You’re a good father Mr. Hart. Our prayers are with you and your family. To the world’s smallest superhero, we wish you a speedy recovery and want you to know that the world needs superheroes just like you. What do you think? Can babies be superheroes?

If a ********* couple tried for years and wanted nothing more than a ***** to love and care for, and suddenly they became pregnant, I would consider that little one a superhero to them.

I've been following this little Georgia boy for 2 years now after his perfect little life was destroyed by a 100-lb tree limb falling on his head (he was only 2 yrs old). Not only has he struggled to survive, but he is accomplishing things the doctor's never thought possible. He is my little Superhero. So yes, they can be.

Emotion-laden topic that can not be "discussed" in any manner or form that even verges on the nether regions of that which is based upon logical and rational thought processes.

The rug-rats are the carriers of the DNA and ********* cellular structures that will allow the human species to continue. For that they are to be valued if you care about the species continuing. In the ultimate scheme of things it makes no difference. If scientific prognostication is correct Earth will eventually become a lifeless toasty cinder as the expand sun reaches a red-giant evolutionary stage and wraps its fission-process "atmosphere" around the Earth in a life-destroying embrace. I doubt that humans will even survive long enough to observe the start of that process.

With that in mind... have a groovy week!!!!

Ew you just reminded me of this super hero baby show in the 90's that was super ugly and gross on Nickelodeon. I won't show a picture because I just don't want to remember it any better, here's a picture of The Rugrats instead, to totally different cartoons by far.

Not only in movies but babies can be superheroes in real life too. With their innocent look they can completely shut the arguing parents. They bring joy and happiness in one's life and ease off the stress temporarily.
I think these can be considered superheroic stuff.

**** yeah and shame to those who think they can't be. That precious baby hasn't even seen his home yet. That kid is a hero to me.

Every baby is a superhero due to its ability to make its surrounding people serene and to stop the arguing parents just by looking at them. But how does a baby not seeing or not knowing his home make him a superhero?

He's a survivor. To me that makes him strong and powerful.

Its a great story. Yes babies can be super heros. My baby is my super hero, he saved my life the moment he was born and gave me a reason to live. No matter how sick I get I feel so blessed to have him... so no matter what my medical record says, I feel like the happiest healthiest most lucky woman in the world.

Having super powers does not make one heroic.

There are no such thing as 'superheroes' in the sense you seem to be suggesting - they're fiction.

And there is nothing heroic about this case.

And babies are born pretty much oblivious and, for some time, are only capable of basically reflexive actions. It takes most human ******** about 5 years average to start realizing what's actually up and only then do they get a sense of self and start making choices like ****** preference, etc., that will shape the rest of their lives.

There is nothing 'heroic' about merely surviving. If there are any actual heroes in this story it's the people who've worked to keep this baby alive and well.

Don't you think that stopping the parents from arguing or stopping them while they're arguing just by looking at them is superheroic or at least heroic?
When a person return from their job and comes home to their baby, they feel temporarily less stressed. Don't you thin that is superheroic?

And then the baby starts bawling and demanding substance and completely ruins any sort of illusion.

And they remember this is the same baby that woke them up at like 2am.

No such things as superhero's. Not to mention having a medical condition or beung a victim and surviving doesn't make you hero. It's inspiring and touching but it's not heroic.
