Are Mormon boys TRAINED to be liars?

Polygamists exist, but you actually can't be a mormon polygamist. We recieve interviews and stuff before we can enter the temples and things. You can't physically be a mormon polygamist. Sorry to burst your bubble there. I'm sure there are polygamists; some may claim to be mormon, I'm not sure. But there's no such thing as a truemormon polygamist.

well glad your proud of it i am Catholic but it doesnt mean much to me at all. Religion isnt supposed to be a prideful thing. Its about believing in *** and doing the right thing . Following his commandments etc

Didnt realize there was a difference havent really learned much about mormons being catholic as i am it hasn't really been a priority for me. I just know about the polygamy through television of course. I haven never met anyone of the mormon faith either. I do appreciate the efforts they have made with geneaology. The information they have collected has been a huge help to many.

There is plenty of evidence as to how and why Smith was killed. He was a con man and was run out of state after state. In this case he was arrested for such and imprisoned. A pistol was sneaked to him. A lynch mob formed and in the ensuing chaos his brother was shot, Joseph shot at least one person and on the way out the window was shot in the back. For being Mormon? No. For conning farmers out of cash by pretending to find gold on their properties.

I am a good person, I am sure you are as well, but we are going to disagree on this point. I have read the churches explanation, that of people who were there, and the newspapers of the time. I am sorry that you were taught a lie, but this is what actually happened.

You seem like an ok person, but I must correct you on one point. Joseph Smith died an honourable death thank you very much. He didn't get his brother Hyrum killed - he was heartbroken when it happened. And he never shot anybody. Where did you hear that?

I do appreciate the lesson, but you guys come to my house at least once a year.
Just so you know, I always invite the missionaries in for cocoa of some other treat. We talk until they make some excuse to escape. My record so far is about an hour and a half. Mormons are nice people, but Joseph Smith was a con artist and died in a hail of bullets after shooting at least two people and getting his brother killed. It was not, as is taught at the jail tour, about his religion. It was about a con gone awry.

Yes. For example, just ask them what their religion says about blacks. Then read what "Doctrine and Covenants" has to say about the "Mark of Cain." Read the "Book of Mormon." It's the story of a black vs. white race war.

True. They are very good at collecting data about family trees. The point of the article was that from his NEW perspective they are taught lies. Mormons are taught The Book of Mormon is a necessary part of being a good Christian.

For a former mormon to come out and say that it must be true to a point. I would not have thought of them as liars just that a number of their members are polygamist but then again not all are into the practice of polygamy. However on a brighter note they have done alot for r the genealogical community documenting ancestries from many different countries.
