Also does it send the wrong messages to young girls, things like like this is how you have to dress to get attention. And does it glorify looks rather than character ?

Disrespectful - Nope
Demeaning - Nope
Wrong Message - Nope

Here how I look at it. Cheerleaders are not forced to wear the uniforms and in most cases they choose the outfit.

If it is disrespectful, demeaning and sending the wrong message.

First disrespectful, how so. Not to the cheerleader who is wearing the outfit. Yeah I cheered and if I did not want to wear the uniform I did not.

Demeaning, how so. By wearing a uniform that may turn on guys or someone else find it ****. People, do you have any idea just how turned on some guys and girls get to see someone in a uniform (military, police, doctors, even mailman).

Wrong Message, what is the message?

No, because if the girls don't like it they don't have to be a cheerleader. The outfit comes with the job.
