Though it is not something with which one should keep track. Acts of mercy are performed for their own sake, not for the sake of recollection.

I found a big diamond engagement ring on the beach. Called the realty company to see if anyone reported a ring missing and they said yes and described it to me. Apparently, a couple was staying in the condos a couple of weeks before we arrived. The guy was to use that ring to propose to his girlfriend. On the first night there they went down to the beach with champagne and he proposed to her. She had it on the finger but was a bit loose and ***** up falling off into the sand. They spent their 10 day trip using a metal detector to find it with no luck. The ring belonged to his grandmother. I got in contact with the guy and he was so happy. He didn't tell his fiancé it was found because he wanted to introduce her to me and then I would pull out the ring. I met her and showed her the ring and she just screamed! She was so excited. It made my year!

Yesterday I got out of line at Wendy's to hold open a door for a woman leaving the restaurant pushing her mother in a wheelchair. I do things like this every chance I get. It costs nothing and feels pretty good.

I volunteered at a humane society for almost 2 years straight. I've worked at soup kitchens. holding doors is simple. Smile to someone. pick up something if another person drops it. kindness is simple and should be innate.

Sure. Just this morning, very early, I went to Wal Mart. I used a buggy. When I was finished shopping and paying for my items I took my purchases out to my car in the buggy. Now, I could have left the buggy right there in the parking lot blocking a parking space like many buggies were, but I took it and put in in one of the buggy corrals. That was an act of kindness.
