Christians vs Atheists. What is your problem??

Question

I am a pagan. Just to put it out there.

My friend directed me towards a question she aswered about her Christian beliefs. The question was asking christians, who used to be atheists, why they converted to christianity. She showed me an atheist guy who has been challenging literally everyone's answer, which is completely fine. However he completely crossed the line when he made fun of her answer. Her answer was very personal so she didn't put any details in it. It was about her mom being sick. So I replied to him and informed him that he completely crossed the line with what he said to her and I asked him to please not reply to people who answer things about any of their family members being sick. He answered in a hostile way and of course, made fun of MY beliefs as well.

I think it's completely alright for Atheists to challenge any christian belief. The same goes for Christians. However when it gets to the point that you are so challenge happy that you are making fun of someone's statement about their sick mother, you have taken it TOO FAR.

Atheists complain about Christians trying to push their beliefs on them. But at the same time you have some Atheists trying to push their lack of beliefs on christians in the same manner.

This is not true for all Christians, nor is it true for all Atheists. I am merely saying that those who fit the description I stated just STOP. IT IS SO ANNOYING TO THE REST OF US!!

I think that everyone has a right to their opinion and their opinion is valid. If someone has a problem with what you believe in, just **** them off and smile about it.

I am a very open person. But one thing I can't stand is when people won't accept the fact that there is diversity in the world...ugh it's sickening how much people fight about it all..How I see it is that whatever you believe in is what is real to you so it is real =)

Honestly, I don't care who is of what religion. I personally am either atheist or agnostic, depending on what day you ask me. However, I honestly believe that Christians can be Christians, pagans can be pagans, Muslims can be Muslims, and atheists can be atheists, AND we can all coexist peacefully. I get annoyed when ANYONE tries to force their personal beliefs on anyone else, and I am offended when ANYONE attacks members of another religion purely because of their faith (or lack thereof).
