There were NUMEROUS reasons for the Iraq War here they are:

1. The US and Iraq had a CEASEFIRE agreement. On paper the US and Iraq were still technically at war since 1991. Just like North and South Korea have a Ceasefire agreement and are technically at war as we speak.

2. Saddam on an almost daily basis violated the No-Fly Zone agreement. In any other circumstances these alone would start a war.

3. Saddam had a history of using WMDs and had over a year to hide the evidence. And judging by the Chemical weapons used by ***** last year. They could have been shipped to Syria from Saddam's Iraq.

4. Saddam's well documented human rights record. The US went into Somalia and Bosnia over less!

5. Saddam OPENLY supported Hamas. He may not have been connected to Al-Queda. But he openly compensated Hamas terrorists if they volunteered to be suicide bombers. This IS a war on terror!

6. People complained through out the 90's that Bush41 didn't finish the job. Just watch the Liberal Diatribe "Three Kings" which says America didn't do enough after 1991. So if Gore won and wanted to finish the job. It would have been applauded. But because BUSH wanted to do it it was a bad idea. TOTAL HYPOCRISY!!!

7. Iraq was a problem waiting to happen. Saddam's Iraq would only have gotten worse. ESPECIALLY when ...

7. Iraq was a problem waiting to happen. Saddam's Iraq would only have gotten worse. ESPECIALLY when Uday and Quesay took over. The Iraq war was nipping future problems in the bud. Hence the term Pre-Emptive war.

The Iraq War ironically is more valid than the war in Afghanistan. But because of a biased media that is in the pocket of the Democrats. Its been turned into the worst thing that ever happened in US history.

That's very cynical! Come one, we're evolving, soon war will be a thing of the past (so long as we sort out the issue of oil and an alternative).

War is an issue of the past? Tell that to Ukraine, Israel, and Iraq/Syria. ISIS is the first fruit of the Arab Spring to drop. Who know what else the middle east will spawn before you know it. And lets not forget North Korea and Iran and their nuclear ambitions.

The Wars in the Middle East have VERY little to do with oil. What you have in the middle east is an Ideology that is equal to Nazism and Communism. Your just another World War 4 denier. Because the world is in the midst of an Ideological struggle between Islam and the Modern/Western World. The Islamists will NEVER be satisfied until the world is under ONE book (the Koran).

Radical Right wing islamists (ISIS) and radical right wing Christians (Republicans) are bad I'll give you that. These islamists aren't as big a group as you might think.

p.s. ISIS is the first fruit of the arab spring to drop. That's clever. Did you make that up?

Ya I just made that up. SO? Its true. ISIS would not exist if Syrian Revolution won or ***** crushed all opposition. The Arab Spring was either successful in places like Tunisa and Libya. Failed revolutions that have crippled their nations like Syria and Egypt. Or Just outright crushed like in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Kuwait, and UAE.

The Islamists are a HUGE group. Just look at how quickly they filled the voids left in Egypt, Syria, and Libya. You also STILL have a aggressive Theocracy called the state of Iran running around funding and training groups like Hezzbollah.

And What about Putin and Ukraine most of Europe is concerned about the escalating situation there.

You Western Europeans have been living in relative luxury since the *** of WW2. And have no understanding of war and violence. Your more worried about American Conservative Republicans who have been on your radar since Ronald Reagan. Than you are about current threats like Radical Islam, Putin, and North Korea. You Western Europeans criticize America for doing your ***** work, guarding, and guaranteeing your prosperity. But you never consider why your defense budgets are SO small? Why? Because Why spend money on defense when we can have the Americans do it for us for almost free. That's why many of your countries have SO much money to **** on various luxuries and that gives you plenty of time to wonder and pontificate on why the rest of the world can't be as peaceful and civilized as you are.

Haha, nice ******, but only true for people like me really!

What do you mean by "American Conservative republicans have been on your radar", why would we be concerned about them? As in complaining about the military power that is America?

Mainstream American Conservatism/Republicans first came to power in 1980 with Ronald Reagan. And Europeans and the Left( Any Country) despised Reagan. People on the left REALLY thought Reagan who was a Hawk was going to start WW3. And that Gorbachov was a man of peace. Ronald Reagan was mischaractorized in Europe as a wreckless cowboy. Just like Bush43 has been. Bush43 and the Iraq war will be vindicated as right just as Ronald Reagan's actions have been vindicated by history and hindsight.

As for the Military Power of the USA. Please tell me how much a better job Russia, China, or Any given Middle Eastern country would do if THEY were the lone superpower in the world. If the American Military is SO abhorrent. Then please tell us who would do a better job. America has been THE most restrained and responsible military in human history. Its the most disciplined, most professional and well educated military force in the world. People take isolated incidents like the My Lai Massacre and Abu Grahb out of context and try to construct false narratives and build for all intensive purposes conspiracy theories about them and the US military. Because there is a "blame america first" mentality and crowd that consumes it without question.

True, people do look at America as a bit of a hawk. ***, you learn something new everyday, I didn't realize that's how people looked at Reagan and Gorbachov respectively. What was the My Lai massacre about?

p.s. I don't think people will look at George43 with hindsight and say he did a good job. How can one justify that war in any way with any facts?

So with (1) war was okay cause you're saying they had an open date to attack Iraq. That's like saying I have an open date to shoot someone in the street. Doesn't mean I go and do it! But say they did have good reasons

And with (6) you call the movie a "liberal diatribe", yet you support the notion that the Iraq war was well justified, and if nothing more, at least a just pre-emptive war?

And what wars have democrats started that liberal "hippie" democrats have supported? There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and if the chemical WMD were such a threat George41 had the chance to sort it out and didn't.

p.s. Thanks for all the effort you put into your answering, although I do disagree with much of what you say, it's actually still very readable, unlike other people sometimes.

Only in the case of self preservation. Also, against war mongers such as ISIS/ISIL.

(1) and (6) Basically mean that Iraq was Unfinished busniess and was long over due for a resolution. It was not an open date to shoot a guy in the streets. It was a lawn that hadn't been mowed in months. As for (6) I was just illustrating the Hypocrisy of the left. If Clinton was a serious president (which he wasn't) The Iraq war would have started in 1998 over suspected WMDs.

SPEAKING of WMDs. Iraqi Intelligence spread massive amounts of disinformation about WMDs. Because Saddam believed if the world thinks I have these weapons they won't attack me. The whole WMD thing was Saddam's way of deterrence. The US believed his bluff and went in. There was no ulterior motive to the war in Iraq. Bush actually believed they were there like everybody else. Not to mention the fact that Saddam was just waiting for the world to start ignoring him so he could resume production on WMDs when he had the time and money.

The Iraq War was INEVITABLE as long as Saddam remained in power. And the ONLY reason most people opposed it is because Bush wanted to do it. If Clinton or hypothetically Al Gore wanted to finish the Iraq war. The media and europe would have been all on board for it. Its just hypocrisy plain and simple. As for the picture. That's not a hippie. That's the Liberal College student meme.

Peace is an illusion. All peace is, is the off season. Every country in the world is prepping for the inevitablity of war.

"War should be the only study of a prince. He should consider peace only as a breathing-time, which gives him leisure to contrive, and furnishes as ability to execute, military plans."

I'm an American eagle... I want to know what's going on in the world, but I do get ****** off at liars who keep trying to chip away at people's rights, freedoms, and liberties. Hate groups who believe they have the right to dictate national policy deserve to be swooped up and deposited back into the abyss that they want to send peace lovers to. I enjoy a good political debate, but when rules are broken and slander is thrown around like feces, neanderthals can get very brutal.

What I am is pragmatic. Until some nation, or group, takes a super aggressive military action against us, we should not consider going to war. However, if the aforementioned action kills real Americans, or drastically diminishes our economics interests, we should go to war but with the proviso, that we will do anything and everything to insure a total and complete victory and the offenders never again can rise because they all be deceased, as will their respective nations or tribes. Getting Americans killed and the draining of our treasury in half *** attempts to interfere in an area of no consequence to us will no longer be an option. If you want some of us, be prepared to die, one and all.

I guess I am. I think we should (after we dump Obama) build and keep the mightiest armed force in the world and respond with tremendous force to any attack or threat to this Nation.
We should formally declare war on all of Islam right now and drop 1 each a-bombs on any nation knowingly harboring terrorists...before it is too late. (yes, I know---innocent people sometimes get killed in wars...better theirs than ours) I think we should cut out all foreign aid except for nations who swear allegiance to the US. (if they aren't our friends, we won't help them) I think the US Military should patrol our southern border after being instructed (by me) on the best way there is to enforce our existing laws and an impenetrable High Voltage electrically charged fence should be built along our entire southern border immediately. I think anyone who refuses to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of this nation should be sent to some other country. No exceptions. If they are atheists, when it comes to the part, "Under ***," just don't say those two words. This is my honest opinion and I'm sticking to it...JC

Your choices are ridiculous! Real evil must be countered with real muscle! When evil despots threaten others, they must be stopped with real force, including war when necessary!
