Can People Really Be Possessed By Demons?

This doesn’t sound like good news. Exorcism experts are warning the Pope, that global demonic possession is on the rise. Top-level Vatican exorcists are reporting, that more and more people are dabbling in the black arts.

The International *********** of Exorcists has been approved by the Vatican and “Breitbart.com” is reporting that the organization believes, this is a “cause for joy not only for the ***********, but for the whole church.”

On Vatican radio, Dr. Valter Casciolo expressed his concern for the increase in occultism and Santanism by stating it has, “Opened the door to demonic activity.” I don't like the sound of that, do you? Brieitbart.com went on to report that people who take part in demonic activities are experiencing serious social, spiritual, and psychological damage.

Pope Francis is rallying with the 300+ exorcists converging in Rome this week and believes that we are objects of the Devil’s attacks. He repeated, “Yes, the devil exists, the devil exists, even in the 21st century!” What do you think? Is there such a thing as demonic possession?

The spiritual forces of evil hide most of the time (unless summoned by very foolish people) working very slowly (over decades), gradually undermining moral foundations in the name of free will and liberalism. The advantage of doing it slowly is that people won't notice the change and become accustomed to it. In this modern age of rapid everything, that is more true than ever. I think evil embraces technology for that very reason, and why religious groups like the Amish reject it. This also reminds me of the quote that the craftiest thing the devil every did was to fool mankind into believing he didn't exist. People don't beware things that don't exist do they? I was wondering when you would stoop to insults. It happened sooner than I expect. You people, always demanding proof. There are things that exist even though science cannot detect them. I've studied a lot of science, and one thing I've learned is that science is flawed, it does not tell the whole story, and the story it does tell changes all the time as more is discovered. Faith is believing without proof because the heart and mind tell things that science cannot. No point in wasting another keystroke on you.

The ideas may not be always right, but the process itself isn't flawed. Science never claimed to have all the answers... yet. It just claims that the answers are able to be known, given enough time, study and experimentation. Blind faith in anything is never good. Science doesn't require any faith to believe. It utilizes facts and a process of understanding that doesn't require any faith.

he Roman Catholic Rite of Exorcism is quite real, quite rare, and deals with a very real probem, demonic possession. Please bear in mind, I am not speaking about something thatthat appeared on a tv reality show. An exorcist is specially trained, there is nothing phony about it at all. An exorcism requires the approval of the local bishop and that approval is only granted after extensive medical and psychiatric examination of the person alleged to be possessed. This Rite, at least in he Catholic Church is a matter of last resort.

ch, i The two exorcisms I am familiar with did not involved a possessed person who was Roman Catholic. In one instance the request for a Catholic exorcism was made by a Lutheran Bishop(that was the movie we all saw), in the other instance, a priest who taught me in high school performed an exorcism in India under the same restrictions at the request of a Hindu holy man

I have a very real 100% desire for seeing something supernatural. There are many of us out there. Yet none of us have ever tried to help the others and bring this so-called demon possession to James Randi and proved it under scientific conditions. That shows me it is NOT real. What advantage would "the occult" have in HIDING its supernatural powers and demonic might? Only someone who is not in touch with reality would believe that demons are real and can possess people. Even those who claim to have witnessed such a thing have just deceived themselves. Humans have a tremendous ability to misinterpret things they see to fit into their own particular worldview if they don't look at events with a skeptical mind.

But I would agree w/a commenter below, they are alive and well in people like ISIS, and muslims who believe in stoning and cutting off heads, and brutality to women, but sicko's from our own country, and others, who commit horrible crimes. Yes it is real, and no currently there is no scientific proof of it. Possesion occurs when there is a willing human that chooses that they want to be possesed. They then summon a demon through ******** methods that people brush off as heresy (ouji boards, senances, etc.)
