She's behaving responsibly and should be left to monitor herself for symptoms. Anyone with a heart so compassionate to go and help treat those with Ebola isn't going to ******** her fellow citizens.

why have a police state and force her against her will to do something? she DOESN't have ebola, tested twice and negative both times.

communism says that you have to give up your personal freedom for the greater good of the community, and anyone who does not abide by this is hated, killed, emprisoned quarantined etc etc. pretty much what is happening now with ebola

"She's a trained medical practitioner"? And so were the other 'trained medical practitioners' that contracted the Ebola virus, including at least one doctor, not just a practitioner! Maybe you should volunteer to go and help her? Ugh.

They know they're taking personal chances going to Africa. And if she HAD contracted it, she wouldn't have been out riding. I personally would have no problem going out to lunch with her.

Great comment, yes indeed.

SHE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE IT!!!!!!!

I cannot believe how communist america is becoming, where rights of the individual no longer matter, but only what the collective wants.

can't believe how many communists there are on this page.

she DOESN'T even have ebola. why are you so communist?

She was in direct personal contact with people who DID HAVE ebola. She MIGHT HAVE ebola. That is the reason for the quarantine period - to determine whether or not you are carrying the disease.

Communist? *** does communism have to do with common sense? If it were me, I would remain in quarantine. No, I wouldn't even sneak out for a night with the wife. I most certainly wouldn't be hugging and kissing on the grand ********.

Have the 21 days passed? No? Then she does not KNOW that she doesn't have ebola.

You are hung up on communism. There are a lot of other governmental types that are as bad, or worse. But - we're not talking about government. We are talking about medical practices. If you MIGHT HAVE a communicable disease, then you are QUARANTINED. There is nothing political about that.

**** NO! She is yet another mindless liberal who couldn't care less about the health of US citizens becuase of her self-righteous "I went to West Africa to do a good thing and I'm treated like this? Awwww... ****************** nooooo!!!!"
Globalist freak, YOU have a responsibility to Americans when you come back, covered in your own filthy self-righteousness, and potentially expose 300 million US citizens and residents to germs YOU chose to embrace!

So you trust lying politicians and idiot bureaucrats more than a HEALTH PROFESSIONAL?
***** to be you. :p

She is not acting very ****** professional. Other professionals in Dallas proved that a person can make a mistake, or that the protective gear can fail, or that the protocols may not be adequate.

This woman is an egotistical wench, who places her own desires ahead of public safety.

Maybe she's more aware of what's ACTUALLY dangerous than the Media goons who have been brainwashing you.

Brainwash, huh?

When millions of lives are potentially at stake, you err on the side of safety. Anything else is criminal negligence.

So all I need is a good story and I can shut down the entire US economy? Sweet!

????????

Better make it a good story. ****** good. But, even if we were to quarantine a million people, that wouldn't "shut down the entire US economy" as you claim. The silly broad in Maine certainly isn't capable of shutting down the economy of even the smallest of third world nations.

She's a trained medical practitioner. I'd trust her judgment LONG before I trusted the judgment of politicians and bureaucrats, especially since there's so much scaremongering going on.

Yet??

...Exactly. And if she does not develop the disease during her 21 days of monitoring, I guess we can ****** that all the decisions that she made were correct and proper---because she was not infected to begin with, as she has been saying from the start.

I'm sure she wouldn't miss a paycheck if she stayed home and quarantined herself since she was working when she came in contact with the virus. Sounds a little fishy that she would make a big deal out of staying home and watching tv. Maybe they want people to think it is difficult to get people to stay in 21 days so they just won't bother doing it and they will have the excuse it violates peoples rights.

Technically her civil rights were violated as the judge's decision confirms. But, I think she acted like a spoiled brat and loves the attention she is getting. Personally, I would have quarantined myself for the duration because I would not want to take a chance of spreading the disease, no matter how remote the chances were that I had contracted Ebola. To me, she is no heroine. She has shown me she places herself above everyone else and knows more than the experts. I'll be very happy when she goes away.

If one is suspected of being a carrier of some deadly disease civil rights are null and void to protect the population at large until given a clean bill of health.

Quarantine is standard procedure for anyone who has been in contact with Ebola. If she does not want to be quarantined, the should not be involved with the program at all.

She must have known that she would be quarantined when she came in contact with the disease.
It takes 28 days from contact to even know IF you do not have it.
She does not know yet.
As a service to others, stay away till you REALLY know.

And this business of "The greater need of a nation is more important than the civil rights of one.", is true Democracy in action.
Which is one step away from a Dictatorship.
This is a Republic with the safeguards of our Constitution. Lets keep it that way.
It has nothing to do with "Law" that she be quarantined, Yet she should keep herself away willingly till the 28 days go by uneventfully.
