two and a half hours. Research will show that any more than that is counter productive.

Two hours...
my mom made me study for an hour by myself then she would quiz me in anything that I had a test or homework in that night, and that's the same I have been doing for my daughter as well...its been working quite well actually.

3 hours total is not asking too much. Most schools have a study hall that helps cut into that, and just over 2 hours at home is not too ****.

Quite frankly .. at least a couple of hours .. and they should also dedicate additional time to do incremental progress on the projects that are part of their syllabus too.
(Can easily be done around work and school day hours .. just have to be focused).

As long as it takes for them to learn the material. :)

Two to three hours a night. When I was a teenager, my duties were this:

1. Empty the trash
2. Put up dishes after taking them out of dish washer
3. Clean the guest bathroom
4. Straighten up my room
5. Set the plates on the table for dinner

6. Go outside an ride my bike, play baseball or basketball or football with friends

7. Wash up for dinner

8. Wash the dishes

9. Study for an hour or two or work on my homework or extra ***********.

Man, life was easy back then. :)

Sounds like you've been given a lot of homework! :) Trust me, all of that extra time will pay off one day soon!

female ceo

Top female CEO's. And I bet they spent 2 to 3 hours a day with their homework! :) lol

Totally depends on what they need to learn. Some nights maybe only 30 minutes, if a tricky test is coming up, maybe 2-3 hours. But any more than that won't really help and will just make them tired which doesn't help them learn.

A couple hours unless they are having problems.

Until all of the daily work is finished and the long term work is also being worked on. I believe when a ***** is in school, the school work must come first and parents need to help make it fun and rewarding.

By "study" do you mean doing homework or simply reviewing the subject material? Depending on the work load of the class, I have spent anywhere from 0 to 8 hours doing homework. If I review the course material, which is ****** ever, it's for one hour tops.

I would say, at least 30 minutes per academic subject per night, unless you have a test or a project or paper that is due within a week or so, Then that subject should require longer.

If there's a big exam, then like two and a half hours altogether...if its just a quiz for one class, about half an hour. But it depends, we all have different needs academically. It takes some people FOREVER to learn something, while other have photographic memory. (It takes me quite some time to learn something =P)

Studying? What's that? (;
Just kidding, it definatly depends on each student and their classes. I could ****** even give an estimate. I know I may do about an average of half an hour of homework/studying after school, of course more if I have a test the next day of some sort. Yet I'm an honors student who's doing just fine in my classes I have now, they just aren't challenging enough for me to study for 2 hours on the material. Now next semester, when my classes change, I'm quite positive that that 30 minutes of studying is probably going to be tripled for each class... All depends on the student and their own personal drive as well as how much their individual classes require.

They should study as long as they need to in order to keep their grades up. Some require more studying than others.
