I used to be able to when I was a kid. In fact we had barefoot races on gravel just to spice things up...

I can, but it sure hurts & it'd probably cut my feet. I suppose anyone that has the ability to walk can do it, but it'd probably cut up your feet or at the very least be pretty uncomfortable.

And thinking about it makes me cringe.

I could when I was a kid....but when we bought our farm someone had shot out every single window in all the barns and shot a bunch of bottles so barefoot was out of the question. Now I have tender feeties.

After years of working in factories on **** concrete and the Post Service, I have rhino hide on the bottom of my feet! Since retirement, I have lived primarily barefoot and I think it is much better for my feet. I can still walk on rough surfaces and in snow barefoot. But I'm not going to try the hot coals! I'm crazy, but not that crazy!

If there is a proper reward for my effort. Used to be no problem. Now I have neuropathy almost up to my hips but even things like small bird seed on a **** surface sends shock waves up my legs.

Country girl here, grew up barefoot. Heck I could run through a yard of clover and miss every bee. Now I'm always in flip flops with my feet well pedicured, I don't think I could do it now.
