Oh crickey I can remember my grandfather wearing PJs. They were very popular in the 40's and have been since then. Night dresses for women, again, popular from the 40's onwards. Yea... PJ's for ****** became a thing in the very late 80's...

before that, men wore nothing, or boxers.. and women wore something called a Teddy, or nothing, or a flannel or cotton nightgown. : )

Yes! I remember jumpsuits! :) Only as every day outside wear. Onesies are worn as Pjs.

Back then, we called them Jump Suits.
