In terms of information given to me, I tend to accept or reject it's veracity depending on where the information came from.

I've had my share of displaying both, and still do. Just depends on the situation, and the person.

I've seen way too may rip-offs in my life. And most often, the rip-offs were done by the most liked and trusted individuals you could know.

If I can't sense it myself and there is no logical, rational reason to suggest the probability of its validity, I won't believe it.
