My best friend and I were discussing future plans last evening and she is giving her husband a 50th birthday party early next year. She asked me to be on the lookout for new and different appetizer recipes. Of course, I knew who to consult! Please share as you guys are from different parts of the country and could give ideas that are not indigenous to this area! Thanks!!!

She said she needed a break from me.

Nachos Supreme:

. 12 round tortilla chips (Nacho Chips)
. Bean Dip
. Cheddar or Monterey Jack Cheese
. Tomato Salsa
. sliced Jalepenos (optional)
. Sour Cream or plain Yogurt (optional)

Spread Nacho chips on a microwave-safe dinner plate. Slice the cheese. Take a teaspoon full of Bean Dip and using a small slice of cheese, push the bean dip onto each nacho chip, pushing the cheese down gently to spread the bean dip on the nacho.. Put a teaspoon of salsa on top of the cheese. Place a Jalepeno slice on the top of the salsa. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute to melt the cheese. top each nacho with a teaspoon of Sour cream or Yogurt (optional)
Serve immediately.

Make your own instant Bean Dip:

. 1 15 oz. can of Refried Beans
. 3 Tbsp. Oil
. 1 Tbsp. Chili Powder
. 1 tsp. Hot Sauce (Tapatio or Cholula)
. 1/4 tsp. Cumin
. 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
. 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder

Mix all together in a bowl and serve cold for nachos or bean dip. May be heated for Taco filling also.

These are my own concoction so I hope you like them. They can be made hot or mild as you prefer.

I've got two:

1 - Deep fried jalapenos w/ cream cheese
- Slice peppers lengthwise and remove seeds/membrane, cool in fridge
- Stuff with fresh cream cheese (or pepperjack if you're brave)
- Roll in eggwhites, then breadcrumbs or cornmeal (crunchiness)
- Return to fridge to cool
- Deep fry to golden brown perfection.

2 - Hot Wings!
- Deep fry chicken wings.
- Toss in my famous hot sauce revealed here ONLY because I like **:
1 gal. "Louisiana" brand hot sauce (do NOT substitute)
mix in 2 oz. each of GRANULATED black pepper, white pepper, onion and garlic
