Aloha! I'm leaving to Hawaii tomorrow!

Question

I'm going back home after more than 30 years for 7 glorious days! So I decided to give myself a Bon Voyage party! BYO Drinks, Food, Tropical Scenery, Hula Dancers.....anything you want to help me get into the spirit! I'll be thinking about you all while I'm sitting on the beautiful beaches of Kauai, sipping on a refreshing tropical drink......;o)

They're my hubby's fav drink!!! Just be careful and make sure they don't use blue food coloring!!! It'll turn your teeth blue!! His did when we had a lil weekend vacation in Myrtle Beach!!! LOL...

Ohhhhhh man.....look at all that food! LOL I'll eat all of it but I refuse to eat poi! Yuck! That's all they fed me as a baby and I can't stand the taste now....but I'll make up for it with the drinks! First thing is a Blue Hawaiian! OOOOOOOH YEAH! ;o)

LOL! and I will help you! I am hungry and thirsty right now!! But you will have to tell me what poi is so I can avoid it too! LOL! A poi in the Maori language of New Zealand, is a round ball made out of flax, attached to a string, and the girls swing them around in a poi dance!! lol!

and ******* fun in the sun, but take and use sunscreen. I wish I had a buck for everyone I've suggested this to. Most do not even think about it until the day after a full day of sunshine bliss, which quickly turns into sunshine blisters. So, unless you are dark-skinned, do it, and have the time of your life. It is a party town!

You mention Kauai (my favorite island) Believe it or not when I lived in California, we went to Poipu area 19 times in 19 years. Have a blast. I envy you so much. I am in Florida now and believe me, it is NO Hawaii....

I haven't been to Hawaii in three years. I can't wait to go back again. I miss Hanauma Bay and the great food.
My daughter actually comes from Hawaii (Oahu) to visit me in two weeks (she stays there with her Polynesian mom). I haven't seen her in about 15 months and I'm happy.
I'd remind you to eat the two-finger poi, but you know as well as I do that is something they only say to tourists!

Thank you sooooo much....awe....how nice! Daddy's girl! What I wouldn't do to see my dad again....they must have given me too much poi when I was a baby, because I don't care for it too much, but I the simien is the best! Ahhhhhhh now I'm happy! ;o)

A neighbor told me yesterday that her mom and sisters are sending her on a trip.....she turned the trip to disneyland down (all paid expenses, her, her 2 kids and a friend) cause that didn't seem like a trip she would really enjoy....they brought up another suggestion.....sending her and a friend to Hawaii for a week......all expenses paid for 2.....I MAY BE GOING AGAIN IN A FEW WEEKS! Ohhhhhhhh that would be sooooo wonderful! We'll see..... and I'm keeping my fingers crossed! ;o)

I miss Aloha Fridays! We used to get off at 3 o'clock every Friday, when I was there (1993-1996). It would be nice if they had Aloha Fridays at all work places in the Continental US too. But, nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!
