We're just of a different frame of mind. You've got bad Atheists, good Atheists and everything in between. Same for Theists.

all we know of what this Jesus was supposed to have taught was told to us by others that only were told by others that were told.. man made it all up..

I am an atheist,, I have been looking for this *** I want to kick its *** for not doing anything to help the starving, crippled, diseased, suffering people it is supposed to love... a few thousand years of inactivity from this *** should tell one something..

I am writing this with the intention to answer you and tell my own opinion, so if my words are used anywhere, without me allowing it, it would be against my will at this moment and not permitted. Everybody knows, what that means by law. So...
I can't believe you said what I sometimes think too! I cannot believe you are a man also! I thought only a woman would think like that! Sometimes I think that Stephen Howking or however his name is, is *** or so. Just think about it ... "inactivity" , "ignorance" etc.
Maybe there is no such "being" like a ***. We are like animals that should be capable of their own life and of others' lives. We alone make/take actions, do activities and obviously are creating our life/world/surrounding or whatever.
I have seen a short sentence that I don't know, who said/wrote but it says:" What we do is what we become."
People alone are "creating" circumstances. We should think before we act. No hurry, just use our minds and think.

They don't like hypocrisy, they don't like killing "in the name of ***", most consider women similar human beings...if a bit different. Well, there are pros and cons, but, I don't like cons either....better we just stop thinking anyone is better than anyone else and get on with making a peaceful world. Just kill because someone is BAD, not because they don't agree with one "***" or another.

The whole idea of being a "better person" is probably where many religious people fall short. The very **** of Christianity teaches that man is flawed and hopelessly corrupt. It is the blood of Jesus that saves man, because we can never overcome ourselves.

I think there's a pretty big difference between what Jesus taught and what churches teach. Probably the most direct repudiation of the notion that faith in Jesus alone is enough to "save" you is Matthew 7:21...

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

I think most Christians are given a completely false view of some verses too, like John 14:5,6....

Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?"

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

"If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."…"

Most Christians interpret that verse to mean that the only way to *** is through worshiping Jesus, I see it a little differently. To me, Jesus said "I have shown you the way. if you want to follow me, you must take my path - the way of kindness and good will and love of truth, not just in theory but as a way of life. If you want to be with Me, be at one with ***, because that's where I am."

Good people are people who don't tear other peoples beliefs apart and make them stupid for their belief. I think there are some of those on both sides.

...hmm...well, atheists don't kill people in the name of their non-***, and that seems like a plus to me...other than that, people are all pretty much the same, both good and bad...

People are people. Good, bad, etc. Christian, Jewish, atheist or otherwise.

You have to be beyond arrogant to claim moral superiority over someone on the grounds of religious views. People can be nice people regardless of religious beliefs.

Most atheists I happen to meet are very arrogant and egotistical, but I don't think they're all bad people. Some of my friends happen to be atheists.

Just because people in a group act badly doesn't mean every one of them does.

One that needs religion to be good has a severe problem to begin with..

When it comes to the way of civic righteousness, neither probably trump the other.

Generally people are people irrespective of their religion.

I think "atheists" become "provocative" , just to prove/make sure, that there's no such "real thing" like ***. They too are in a "search" for "Almighty" , even when they reject such "existence".
Atheists are like very naughty kids, they try to find out, if there's a *** by being "bad". That's only MY opinion.

The only one of these who is an unqualified atheist is Ernest.. Did he take his own life out of boredom or because he was righteous or because *** wanted him dead..?

Atheists can be just as ignorant and bigoted as religious fundamentalists.

Religion or non religion should have nothing to do with who is better.. however religion teaches that they are better than anyone else.. which isn't necessarily so. there are evil believers and evil non believers...but I think more religious people are evil than non religious..

Atheists are simply more informed.

Religion or lack of religion doesn't make a person better than someone else.

Atheism is the result of culture, apathetic thinking or honest, critical ******** of religions in general turned toward your own religion. You can be a dope (Richard Dawkins, who once referred to stellar formation as "evolution" what a dope!) or an *sshole (Christopher Hitchens, who ******* waterboarding was such a pathetic non-torturous event he volunteered to be waterboarded... and changed his mind) or a personality with questionable substance (Matt Dillahunty is a performer who admictted to enjoying deceiving others as a stage magician.)

Critical ******** is frequently a cornerstone of athiesm, and it's easy to turn it inward. It keeps all of us as honest and accurate as we can be.

Potentially, but there are good and bad people in all walks of life

in general there are good and bad of all sorts and it's a matter of defining what is meant by better ?
allowing myself leeway "reading into the question' ,
I would say that if we are speaking in terms of a person that is charitable / kind and compassionate to wards others ..perhaps the person who does this not because of law -dogma - or social pressures ..but acts on their own simply because they recognize it is the right thing to do , would carry weight in the decision of who "good " a person is .

Atheist's are not better than Religious people.
Religious people are not better than Atheists.

Let's suppose "better than" means something like being a good person - Belief or non-belief in *** have anything to do with how "good" of a person you are, that would be your actions that determine that.

Atheism is a religion on its own. Much better to be Agnostic, like I am. Ignorance is a bliss.

Things like thou shall not kill or steal they follow they believe in a Christian style of civilized society of a Christian country. As for the 7 deadly sins these they brake lust, greed, envy. Without a *** and his teachings there is no control of people wants good or bad. If you notice most or all Atheists are in the Liberal part of the Democratic party. That party has voted out the word *** from their Platform and want a generic government anti *** religion where there is not mention of a *** except the Government. They believe in the Big Bang theory but that does not mean there is no ***. They most likely believe in people for another world in this universe and beyond. Lets say that is right is it not strange that earth ***** to be just right for evolution. Isn't it strange that man and woman, animals all evolved into what we are today. My question is who is it that man can think and hear thing in his mind to create? What entity channels a person to hear and create music, machinery, different foods, thoughts and ideas?

That is the theory ..but..in reality it has not being the way they would have hoped for.
I would say that Atheists certainly do not have brains that are all cluttered up with religious believes ....but they would naturally have the same or similar values and the understanding of social decorum and social co-habitation including manners and a sense of justice etc etc and near everything else a religious person has...but minus all the fairy tale beliefs.
That is how I generalize the subject matter.
