• I just wanted to tell the Cenikor Foundation "Thank You" for changing my life forever and to let anyone who is thinking of sending their family membr to Cenikor that this is a first class foundation in which can most definitely change your life !!! as it says " A Place of Change"
I did not Graduate, Yet I did go on to Graduate another Facility at "living waters" But my ultimate reason for leaving Cenikor was because ***** support from Arkansas made my decision to leave after 11 1/2 months because while there I earned no money and they said they did not care if I was in a Rehabilitation center (if) I did not start paying ***** support I would be picked-up and a warrant placed on me.
I had made my mind up that I needed a change before I went to Cenikor and I was one who believed in the philosophy that Practice what you preach. The lessons I learned at Cenikor have changed my life forever.
The Cenikor philosophy is a philosophy in which I live by now and the things I learned while I was there are Numerous: when I would go sit in the verbal chair and think about the thing I did wrong, I would think about my part in whatever had taken place and that in life is definitely something we all need to do in our every day life.

I go back to the place I ultimately Graduated and several other Center's to talk to the clients now because the saying is True: You keep what you have, by giving it away or giving back. I would love to go back and talk to the clients at Cenikor as well, but the only reason I don't is because when I left no matter what reason you leave, you are considered a split-tee
and you are no longer allowed in or contact with the facility and/or it's clients. Yet, I want the world to know that Cenikor is a Great Foundation and I will stand up and be a spokesperson for them and the job they do.
Cenikor is the superbowl of rehabilitation center's and as in anyone's addiction "Cenikor" can only Change you If you want to change, want a new life !! In recovery I've become to realize that there is "one thing" that you must Change if you want to stop your self destructive behavior and Addiction. and.... that "One thing" is everything.
I just wanted to send you a few of the Christian song's that I've done. The recovery song's that I do when I share my story and talk to the client's at the Rehab's and Recovery center's. Song's with a message of Recovery and then I share Jesus and what he has done in my life !!!!
And Finally, to let you read Some of my Poetry in which was *** inspired in which I am trying to get published. The Dorrance publishing company has Accepted my Poem "Night that I met Santa" for a ********'s book and My book of poetry "Love, Holidays and The Bible" poems from the heart for publishing , but of course I still have to pay some cost in which to get Them published and right now that is not possible.
I just wanted to let you know there is a lot more to this good ole boy from Arkansas than you know. I am sober and *** is working in my life and through my life !!!!! I am not only a Light house for ***, but a Light house for Recovery as well. I love you guys and have a blessed day !!!
The song "Thank you" is my dedication to Cenikor and is my "Testimony as well

It's an 18monh - 26 month program. You basically begin in a locked-down situation and progress through the program until you can move into a 1/2 way house with employment, bank account, car, etc. If I recall, they keep all your earned income - everyone works to pay their way - for the 1st 12 months or until you begin transitioning to their ******** living environment. Their philosophy appears to one of very authoritarian, rigid behavioral modification. The program was originally started by some ex-cons in Colorado to try and stem the recidivism rates and break the cycle of prison- failed freedom-prison. I believe it could work for someone willing to be broken down (like boot camp) and rebuilt using their principles of faith (yes there is a religious/spiritual component) , obedience, submission, mutual respect, and self-worth.

My son tried it in Houston and lasted three weeks. It is not a program for the faint at heart, too young or confused.

- Peace

never heard of it, but all rehab programs work if you work it. if youre just there to make it look like (maybe to the court?) youre making progress, then obviously you dont have the will to want help anyhow.

I didn't like pot or drugs in school and I still don't like them today. I pray the Lord will take away this dangerous addiction from our lives and our ********* and families. I know that people today are starving for food and wholesome drinks like OJ not alcohol and drugs. Even coffe, teas and energy drinks like Red Bull are dangerous and cause cancer and strokes. I hope they help people to seek and obtain help from their addictions. I know the Lord Our Savior can help many souls to quit their addictions to alcohol, drugs and tobacco. With **** help they can save themselves and their families from a harmful drug. I know my church the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints helped me quit smoking and I have not smoked since then or feel the need to. I don't drink coffee or teas and I don't do any drugs Thank ***! I Wish you a Happy Valentines Day. I pray I can get you something sweet and some great food, pepsi/cokes and gifts. Of course, you are aware that both sugar and fats are dangerous and addictive?

I thought you guys didn't drink coffee or tea because of the caffeine in it. Do you know how much caffeine there is in Coke?

I haven't heard of it, but if you or someone you know has a problem there is nothing wrong with checking it out.

Personally I got help from NA (narcotics anonymous). It changed my life and probably helped to save my life.

I was one who thought I could help myself... but was waaaayyyy wrong about that. Once a person realizes they need help and actually opens up to it then their life can change, but that person has to want the help and go after it.

My son..at 30 years old, just tonight graduated from the Cenikor program. The first time I went to see him there he told me about all the "insanely stupid" rules. He described his experience up to that point as "part kindergarten meets military boot camp with a very cult like mentality". At that point my fears for him and his family were not lessened in the least. Somewhere around a year and a half in...his entire demeanor began to change. The more he learned (even though still often trying to do so on his own terms)....the more his inner light began to shine. Tonight after his graduation I personally thanked the director for giving me My son back. I am absolutely100% convinced this 2 year program not only saved his life but helped him discover in himself that it could be a GOOD life. Anyone considering it should know...your addiction is only part of your problem. This program is more than a residential treatment for substance abuse....its about changing your life....from the inside out. And it's tough....real tough....but it works. 98% success is what I've been told.
