People with rims on their car aren't on welfare, those ******* checks aren't that much

Then why do I see so many on welfare with modified cars? *****, they accent it with drug money and/or have ways of getting more than one check to the same house. It's not like the workers really bother to go out checking peoples' facts.

Sometimes I can't stop myself from laughing when I've seen a junker with 22s and spinner wheels.

Or a classic like a '57 Chevy with those ridiculous things. It's a sacrilege.

Exactly, you don't mess with perfection.

I have notice around St. Louis... a popular thing to do is find some car from the late 70's early 80's... do a crappy job of fixing it up - if at all.. and then jack it up into the air at least 24".. then put GIANT Wagon Wheel size Chrome wheels on it. So large it cut the turning radius of the car down so much, it takes a 3 point turn to make it through your typical cloverleaf on a highway.

large cut turning radius car 3 turn typical cloverleaf highway

The idiots who do this think they know better than the rest of us, they insist on cars that scrape the ground....we wonder where the potholes come from....

Snow and salt from street trucks

Not all of it. Look at the gouges in driveways sometime. The snow and salt thing doesn't explain California where we don't have snow.

I had a 1988 Camaro Z-28 with Racing Goodyear Eagles that were on 88 Corvette's. They wore out quicker than any tire I ever put on a car. But these $3K a tire. Thats abit much. So $ 12K on a 77 Cutlass. How are you paying the rent

My Favorite racing rims, the Crager SS Mag { 1980's} cost only $150.00 a rim & a tire was between 75-100 a piece. Not these 3K per tire rims today. Crager SS Mags Crager SS Mags

What do you consider low cost?

This (make/model) is technically a low cost vehicle:
2002 trans am

These are expensive wheels:
fikse

Here's one where the wheels are worth far more than the car:
fikse foxbody

Worth it; if I may say so.

Seems everyone else had no problem understanding the question

It seems everyone else is just following some ridiculous stereotype where you can't spend money on your car without coming across like some spendthrift hoodlum. Because let's be honest here, others didn't have in mind the images I posted. But they sure as **** had these in mind:

caprice 22
caprice 22s

It isn't my fault that you phrased the question in such an open manner. I knew full well what group you had in mind. Except that isn't the only group to spend money on "cheap" cars. Here's another cheap car where just about any set of wheels will be worth far more than the car is worth:
1984 monte carlo wheels

Not in mind right? Of course not. It's pretty transparent what you had in mind. You really didn't need Chris Rock to "help" you out here.
